Range USA Cypress

My wife and I took the basic handgun class with Becky last week and it was awesome. She does a great job explaining the function, safety features and proper ways to hold and fire a handgun. There were a lot of people that have never fired a handgun or haven't in a long time and I thought they all walked away with more knowledge and confidence after the class. My wife learned a lot because lord knows she doesn't listen to me.... So I felt the class was beneficial and well worth the money, plus it was nice date night for the two of us.

6 August 23 1435cst (estimated) Good place to visit. Typically, this is a no incident place, which is the reason I chose this place over Athena and their rising range costs. Today was atypical, which for a week end, you can attribute to the volume. But when I wait in a line with no one in it, I expect to be the next person served unless there are separate lines. I stood in the members express line for about 10m waiting for the good folks in front of me to be taken care of. This is good. The bad? I watched two customers walk in, register on the kiosk and both served before I was. What gives? I nicely brought it to the attention of the cashier, because it's not worth a commotion to me. Just wanted to let him know that I was waiting. He proceeded to tell me that it's because they were busy. Well sir, I understand and have no issues with that, I wanted to bring it to your attention that it is a reasonable expectation to be addressed or even just acknowledged, when you are a paying customer (yes, I have the top membership, but that shouldn't matter). Plus, THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE IN LINE. What did I really expect? I don't know, maybe it wasn't intentional, or sorry about that, or we will do better next time. Like many ex military folks and retirees, I have run many ranges and you have to develope into a prick to keep people safe and out of harms way, but that shouldn't start with the cashier

Range is nice. Good sound attenuation. Their range fees seem pretty high. I will say that over the years they usually have a decent supply of different guns. They may just have what you're looking for. My biggest issue is that they scan your ID for every purchase. Want to shoot, scan your id. Want to buy non regulated items like mags or ammo or cleaner or lube, they still scan your id. You cannot walk into this shop with cash and buy non regulated items without scanning your id. For that reason I barely go here unless everyone else is closed. They are selling your information or collecting purchase history for whatever reason. If you value privacy, this place is strange. The range is nice though it is a good setup.

First range I've been to since previous military experience years ago. Since it had been a few years since I've handled a firearm I figured I'd take a lesson just to get reacquainted with things. The instructor was very friendly and got me back up to speed on what I was looking for as far as getting accurate shots on target with proper grip and trigger squeeze. After a few rounds on the range, I was right back at it like riding a bike. The range itself seems well-organized, well kept, with an RSO present at all times. Nice sized dividers partitioning lanes. Staff was very friendly, chatted with one or two for a few while waiting for instructor. The store itself is VERY nice in my opinion. Their selection is honestly one of the best I've seen so far. I really don't have anything negative to say about the place and I'm a very picky person. I definitely plan on returning to the range to get some more training in. Just wanted to say thanks for providing a nice, well kept shop, with an amazing selection, friendly staff, and safe place that people can feel comfortable, practice and get some proper training in.

From the time we walked in until the time we left, our needs were met. The young man who assisted us was extremely informative, personable, and he took great care to insure that all of our questions were answered. He showed us several 9 mm and assisted us in identifying the best one to suit our individual handling style. He was quite patient and made us feel relaxed with the understanding that classes were available either group or private to help us become more relaxed with our purchase. We discussed safety in the home with children and firearms. We had several very informative discussions and we left with a desire to begin our journey as women knowing how to protect ourselves. We laughed because I grew up around rifles and guns; my dad belonged to a hunting club but I never learned to use any of his rifles or guns. We were very pleased with our visit and purchase.
